What's New For 2023?
For the 2023 model year, the Equinox only receives minor changes. The first change is an update to the engine, which now outputs 175 horsepower. The other change is the return of the Midnight Edition package. This package gives the Equinox Jet black interior upholstery, wheels, trim, and badging.
Performance
The newly updated engine for the Equinox powers each of its four trims. This powertrain is a 1.5-liter, 175-horsepower Inline four-cylinder engine that outputs 203 pounds of torque. Front-wheel drive remains standard and all-wheel drive is an available option. As for its fuel economy, the EPA estimates the Equinox should get around 26/31 mpg.
Technology
As the Equinox received no changes to its interior, drivers will find the same tech offered in last year's model. These include a seven-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, parking sensors, 4G LTE Wi-Fi, and more.
Safety
Another uncharged aspect of the Equinox's design is the safety features offered. Standard features include forward collision mitigation, lane-keeping assist, and rear-seat reminder. While higher trims offer parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and a surround-view camera system.
